Holdingpatterns was born in 1983 and lives in London.
He is a graduate of Bournemouth Media School’s undergraduate Scriptwriting for Film and Television course.
His first film, Talking of Michelangelo, won the Alan Plater prize for the best feature script written on the course. You can read extracts and more about that here.
He has since been developing a television drama series, tentatively called Positive Tension with Kudos Film and Television. You should be able to read more about that soon.
His short story, ‘Thirds’ was selected and published in the latest Pendulum anthology in Australia. (Wishbone Press)
He is scared that writing about himself in the third person like this will make him seem like arrogant. Sorry about that.
Other things he is scared of are;
a) The power Hairdressers have over you once they sit you in their adjustable chairs.
b) Banks,
c) Being forced to learn how to ski, (for he cannot)
d) The long silent contemplative pauses in the children’s cartoon show ‘The Moomins’
He likes to write stories, screenplays, and very occasionally, poetry. One day he will finish a novel.
He plays guitar badly, but with great enthusiasm.
